name?

As you can see I have titled my blog Yard Sale. I know it seems random but it was actually the first name that came to me as I sat down to create this. At first I was hesitant because it seemed too random but then I realized that it made sense in many different ways.

 

This blog will be used to express my ideas and thoughts to different pieces of literature throughout the quarter. Because they are my ideas, and of no use to others when in my head, this blog is a great way for them to see how I have interpreted the various reading assignments. It is much like a yard sale in the fact that I am just throwing all my ideas and opinions out there for everyone to see just like one would put all their extra junk on the front lawn in hopes that it will be of use to someone else. Readers can either take it or leave just like a yard sale shopper decides to make a purchase or leave empty handed.

 

I also named it Yard Sale because if it had a boring title then nobody would read it. I had to name it something fun yet unexpected. I wanted the title to grab the attention of others and provoke them to read it.

 

I like the idea of blogging our thoughts and I look forward to reading the responses of others so that I may gain a greater perspective. I think it's a great way to bring the class together and to spark creativity. It will force a deeper level of thinking.
